Hiking in Stubaital
In summer, the Stubai valley offers hiking fans the opportunity to experience the unique nature in the valley up close. The numerous hiking routes offer our holidaymakers a broad spectrum of options. We can guarantee that the Stubai valley offers routes suitable for all proficiency levels. As the mood takes you, our wonderful valley offers everything to excite the hiker from pleasant strolls over blooming alm pastures to high Alpine mountain tours.
From a culinary viewpoint too, the numerous huts, alps and alpine restaurants in the Stubai hiking region have much to offer.
One of the highlights for our guests is to follow the tracks of Franz Senn, one of the pioneers of alpinism. The path is a circular hiking tour and offers two variants, one for families and one for mountaineers. The circular footpath comes to an end at Neustift church before continuing via the district of Lehner towards Milders and back again.
With this discovery trail, the Stubai valley raises awareness of the great achievements of theAlpine and tourism pioneer. The starting point for the new Franz-Senn path is the points of interest around Neustift church, such as the monument or the wall painting of the priest. The wide circular route leads further into the valley to Milders and back again into the village centre of Neustift. Interactive stations inform the hiker of the life and work of the ‘glacier priest’ Franz Senn. The Alpine variant of the path branches off in Milders.
